MatchPoint HR is seeking experienced Data Cabling Infrastructure Engineers for a temporary international project in Asia on behalf of one of our key international clients. The role involves high-quality structured cabling and fiber optic installations, testing, and supporting or leading small site teams.
Responsibilities
• Install, terminate and test Cat6/6a cabling and fiber (patching, OTDR testing)
• Build racks/cabinets, patch panels and labelling
• Pull, route and dress copper and fiber cabling across site
• Carry out cross-connects and patching between racks, rows and MMRs
• Test, validate and certify links — continuity, polarity, insertion loss and OTDR traces
• Produce accurate documentation (as-built drawings, port maps, patch schedules)
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment to site/H&S standards

• Proven experience in structured cabling and fiber optic installation
• Cat6/6a termination and fiber patching
• OTDR and certification testing
• Willingness to travel between project sites
• Self-employed / Freelance
• Good command of spoken English for on-site communication
